Whats is Spirulina

Spirulina is one of the small number of plant sources of vitamin B12, normally found only in animal tissues. 3g of Spirulina provide 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and contains more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an equivalent serving of liver. Spirulina is a green-blue algae. The term spirulina is from the Latin word for helix denoting the physical configuration of the organism when it creates swirling, microscopic strands.
